After Sylvester Stallone, Ron Howard and Kate Burton, it is the turn of Lena Waithe to add her name to the list of guest-stars of the series This Is Us.
Lena Waithe will appear in the next episode of season 2 of THIS IS US – the 13th – which has the original title "That'll Be The Day" and which will be broadcast on January 23 in the United States on NBC. She will play the role of an employee in an animal shelter and interact with the character of Kate Pearson (Chrissy Metz) as she seeks a gift for Toby, her future husband.
Lena is known for her role as Denise in the series MASTER OF NONE; Netflix original series for which she is also a writer. She also received with Aziz Ansari, in 2017, the Emmy Award for best writing for a comedy series (episode "Thanksgiving") – making her the first African-American to receive this award. She is also the creator of the new drama series THE CHI whose broadcast has just begun in the United States on Showtime and she will soon appear in the second season of Dear White People on Netflix.
