This week aired the last episode before the mid-season break of Teen Wolf. While there are still 10 episodes left, what did this goodbye-like episode have in store for us?

The Winter Final has finally been unveiled and we can say that it has been rich in emotions… This last episode of the first part of this season 6 signed the return of Stiles in the series and therefore Dylan O'Brien. We had here an episode that was both very fast, by its sequence of situations, but also very complete, because it concludes perfectly this mid-season.

A finale centered on the relationships between the characters

The relationships between the characters were very well built in this episode. In the first place, we have the incredible friendship between Scott and Stiles, which since season 1 is still well developed. We've seen them grow and mature over the seasons, it's going to be hard to part with them. Another moment eagerly awaited by fans: the formation of the couple Stiles / Lydia: "I didn't say it back – You don't have to". Equally moving, the reunion between Stiles and his father, or the new connection between Melissa McCall and Chris Argent were nice surprises. The relationship between Peter and Malia has been explored a little more, and we remain moved by the latter, who would do anything to help his daughter.

And then what?

The last minutes of this episode, which takes place during the last day of our heroes' classes, marks the end of the series as we know it. We see our characters in front of their lockers, there is an allusion to the very first episode with the discovery of a body in the woods and the last scene shows Scott and Stiles leaving in the Jeep. But while the episode really seems to be the last of the series, we wonder what we will see in the next episodes. Will Stiles be there? And what about the rest of the gang? What will be the main plot?

All we know is that a time jump of several months is planned. Jeff Davis, the showrunner, announced: "The series will resume a few months after Scott and his friends graduated and experienced a turning point in their lives. Of course, something will interrupt them and they will realize that they will have to stay a little longer than planned in Beacon Hills, before they can actually say goodbye. They will face many challenges and their opponents will be more formidable than ever!"

The second part of the season will air this summer, between late June and early July.
