After a first season that was a hit with viewers, Canal+ finally announces the broadcast date of the second season of Versailles, its original creation. This return is scheduled for Monday, March 27, 2017 at 9pm, where you can find two episodes each week.
While we will witness the return of George Blagden and Alexander Vlahos in the roles of Louis XIV and Monsieur, the writers promise us new faces, especially women. Indeed, Claude Chelli and Aude Albano, the producers, said:
"Women will play a central role in the rest of the story. It was essential to place them at the heart of history because they were indeed the beating heart of Versailles, and their influence on the imprint left by the reign of Louis XIV was crucial."
Viewers will be able to meet Liselotte, played by Jessica Clark, a 19-year-old German princess promised to Philippe. Madame Agathe (Suzanne Clément), will be an expert in divination and making potions and poisons. Described as terrifying and freezing, she is not afraid of anything and no one.
For the occasion, Canal+ broadcast a short teaser for the second season of Versailles :
