The Walking Dead caused a stir at San Diego Comic Con. AMC has unveiled a long trailer to prepare for season 9. The teaser reveals a lot of information but above all raises a lot of questions.
Once again, The Walking Dead shone at San Diego Comic Con. Fans of AMC's flagship series were able to discover never-before-seen footage from season 9. It will begin on October 7 on AMC, and will be available the next day in France on OCS. Even if the audiences of season 8 are down, the series still accumulates an average of 7.81 million viewers. Season 9 is all the more anticipated as it will be the last of Andrew Lincoln. The interpreter of Rick Grimes is one of the only characters to have survived all eight seasons, and this since the first episode. The series should therefore take a big turn in this season 9. Several story arcs are expected to conclude as a new era begins.
A world at peace?
The trailer aired at Comic Con is five minutes long. However, we understand from the first images that several years have passed since the end of season 8. Rick has a white beard, Judith has grown up, Glenn's child and Maggie was born. The community of Alexandria seems to have known a few years of peace. She grew up with the different groups around. This is not the end of their adventures. Tensions are being felt. Communities are struggling to live together. Even within our heroes, discord reigns. Maggie and Daryl have to settle their differences with Rick. Michonne and Carol are always ready for battle. The living are on the brink of battle and the dead continue to walk. We also discover new faces, characters who could well play a big role in the seasons to come.
These first images of season 9 correspond to the story developed in the comics. The rest of the episodes will confirm or not this rapprochement. Season 9 is to be discovered from October 8 in France.
