Last night in the United States, MTV broadcast the final episode of season 2 of its series Scream. Back on this episode rich in twists and turns. For those who are not up to date, it is recommended that you do not read more!
While the first season of Scream pleasantly surprised us, the second season should be the season of confirmation. After twelve episodes, the second chapter of the series based on the films of Wes Craven has just ended in the United States. If this final season was a notch above the previous episodes, the rest of the season was extremely laborious and tedious.
In this last episode, Emma and Audrey are two fugitives wanted by the police. Found both at the crime scene where the mayor of the city died, they have no choice but to flee while a plan is made to prove their innocence. They had the support of the rest of the group, namely Brooke, Noah and Kieran. The two fugitives are on the run, but do not feel totally threatened by the police, because the latter does not deploy any particular plan to arrest them. That said, funny situation anyway!
Always be wary of appearances
This final episode also has the merit of keeping us in suspense, but especially of catching us off guard when revealing the true identity of the masked killer. It is difficult to unmask the one who has been hiding for a long time behind this famous mask of terror. While the group's suspicions focused on Eli, Kieran's cousin in the penultimate episode of season 2, the trend began to be confirmed more and more as the pieces of the puzzle came together. And the moral of this episode reminds us that we should not always trust appearances, because appearance is not always a reflection of the truth.
While all the attention was on Eli, the real killer was still running in the wild. Just a few more minutes, and he'd hit the jackpot. Except that we always reap what we sow, even in Lakewood, nicknamed the "Murderville. " As surprising as it may seem, Eli is not the one hiding behind the mask. On the contrary, he is the one who managed to identify the physiology of the killer and knew how to put all the pieces together. It was then that his choice fell on Kieran who, not surprisingly, first began to deny the facts of which he was accused before finally confessing. A coup de théâtre that many did not expect!
And this is where we realize how human beings can be blinded by love. Emma is just one example among many. Sometimes our enemies are our best friends, friends we meet day and night and share even our innermost secrets with.
In reality, Kieran was in a relationship with Piper. After his disappearance, he vowed to avenge his death by killing the two responsible, Emma and Audrey. It was therefore a story of revenge whose end does not do the latter's business. He will therefore spend his days in prison, because Emma even if she had the opportunity to eliminate him without going through the police made the choices to leave all this to justice. Did she make the right decision? Only time will tell, especially since the last scene of this episode hinted at the return of an old character like no other!
For now, no information has been communicated by MTV about the renewal of Scream for a season 3.
