From October 4 to 7, the New York Comic Con was held. The event featured Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, as well as actors KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Luke Perry and Mädchen Amick.
During the panel, the names of the actresses who will play the mother and sister of Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) were confirmed.
Jughead's mother, Gladys Jones, will be played by Gina Gershon. You have already seen Gina on the big screen in Showgirls, P.S. : I love you and Killer Joe or on television in Elementary, Brooklyn 99 or Empire. Her character has been described as "a businesswoman, biker, who manages a clandestine traffic of spare parts for the Snakes, of which she is a respected member." His arrival in Riverdale should bring its share of disruption, especially for his son and Betty Cooper (Jughead's girlfriend).
Jughead's younger sister, Jellybean "JB" Jones, will be portrayed by Trinity Rose Likins. She is a cool teenager and very wise for her age. Fan of Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, she does not hesitate to participate in her mother's traffic to make ends meet.
Gladys and Jellybean, who lived in Toledo, Ohio until now, will arrive in Riverdale in the middle of season 3, in December.
