[Criticism] Orphan Black season 5: the series is finally back!

After a very long month of waiting, Orphan Black is finally back for its fifth and final season. The series offers us an eventful episode, of which we give you our opinion here…

The final season of Orphan Black kicked off this week, after four seasons as addictive as each other. The incredible Tatiana Maslany, who plays all the clones is back, to the delight of fans! Remember, we left our favorite clones in a pretty bad position in season 4. And what is certain is that this episode did not fix much!

A complicated situation for the Sestras

The episode resumes immediately at the end of season 4: Sarah is injured and alone after Rachel's betrayal, Cosima finds Delphine in the Renewal camp, Helena, Alison and Donnie hide… Most of the plot takes place with Cosima where we discover that PT Westmoreland, the creator of the neorevolutionists is alive. Alison and Helena are quickly in trouble. Meanwhile, Felix, goes in search of Kira and Siobhan who have disappeared, and Arthur meets his new teammate, a neo, who does not seem to have the best of intentions.

A rather slow episode

The only flaw that could be found in this episode is its slowness. Indeed, he slowly sets up the new stakes of the story: the "beast" that attacks Sarah, the Renewal camp, Arthur's new teammate, the "fountain"… But it allows to introduce this season, and allows to switch towards the end of the series! The episode is still marked by the loneliness of the clones, who struggle to advance each on their own.

As usual, Orphan Black impresses us once again with this episode both slow but full of twists and turns. Season 5 allows us to be as explosive as the previous ones, and we can't wait to see that!
