Luke Cage's Sasion 1 was already powerful. This season 2 is above all the discovery of a real enemy for Luke, Bushmaster, with an incredible story. The Stokes destroyed her family, and Mama Mabelle even killed Bushmaster's mother herself. Clearly, we are a thousand places from Cottonmouth. Bushmaster is an incredible charisma, and a fiery character. With his story, and that of his family, we almost end up empathizing with him, and feeling the same contempt he has for Mariah. Especially when Mariah kills Bushmaster's entire family. Luke is torn between doing good, and helping Mariah be saved on one side; and on the other side, he doesn't want to save this woman, who spawned so much drama in Harlem. We still remember that she burned a man alive… Bushmaster will be missed. By the end of the season, an alliance between him and Luke had almost become a possibility.

The couple Mariah and Shades

We can think that these two do not feel anything for each other at the beginning of the season, that it is only business. But ultimately a real link exists between them. They are willing to do a lot for each other. Shades, in particular, is completely devoted to Mariah. Their relationship is one of the few of its kind on the show, as Claire left at the beginning of the season. We must admit that they are rather cute, well sometimes. Shades, however, begins to distance himself from Mariah when his "gangster" side, which he himself triggered, becomes too strong. He ends up betraying Mariah. She will still miss the prison following his death, but he will unfortunately not escape. Shades has become more human in this season. He showed his feelings, and it was really nice to discover this other side of him.

Thilda, the rebellious girl

Tilda Luke Cage 209 "Luke Cage" Season 2: Will Luke go to the dark side?Thilda has appeared in this season 2, and we sincerely hope to see her again. He is a very rich character, who is still on the front of the stage in several situations: with Bushmaster to help him regain strength, alongside his mother for the opening of the center "Family First". But most importantly, it was her kiss that killed Mariah. Her power is the mastery of plants. It has its character, and we only ask to see more! Given the legacy scene, we can imagine a conflict with Luke to recover the Harlem Paradise.

Clear part, Misty shines

She leaves Luke at the beginning of the season, and we miss her! It was soothing for Luke, and they were a beautiful duo. But her absence allows Misty to be much more present. And that she is damned woman! Back with one arm missing, she ends up getting a bionic arm and she is even more badass than before. She forms a shock duo with Luke, even if officially, they are not partners. This season 2 also allowed us to see Iron Fist for a few episodes.

Luke, on his way to the dark side?

luke cage "Luke Cage" Season 2: Will Luke go to the dark side? But above all, let's remember that what torments us is whether Luke will change. He restored peace in Harlem because with Mariah's incarceration, it was a bit tense in Harlem. Is Luke becoming the new King of Harlem? With Harlem Paradise at its feet, we expect the worst. And at the same time, he's THE good guy in the story. Maybe we go to the dark side would bring Claire back into the series. In any case, it is hard to imagine him becoming a drug or arms lord. Season 3 has not yet been officially ordered by Netflix anyway. The showrunners hope to write it, but nothing is certain. to follow so…

And you, what did you think of season 2 of Luke Cage?
