You may not be aware, but Jamel Debbouze, one of the favorite comedians of the French, has embarked on the world of TV series! And not just any, since this is a historical mini-series. Our review.

I invite you to discover "La Petite Histoire de France", broadcast on W9. It seems that the French are inspired by the history of our country, and the public receptive, since we recently had the right to the series of Canal +, Versailles, which, this time, evokes the "great" history of France.

The history of France

On the same model as the series broadcast on M6, like Scènes de Ménages, or Kamelott, the series La Petite Histoire de France, presents 3 couples, at different periods of the history of France. They all have the distinction of being cousins with an illustrious character of history.

The first couple, François D'arc and Ysabeau, lived in the 1430s. She, a farmer who sells her cheeses, and he a soldier, cousin of Joan of Arc, who is obsessed with freeing his cousin, while she is a prisoner of the English.

Philippe Honoré de Roche Saint-Pierre and Marie-Louise

The second couple, cousins of Louis XIV, were fired from the court by the king. Philippe Honoré de Roche Saint-Pierre and his wife, Countess Marie-Louise, lived in their castle, far from their illustrious cousin. They hope to return to live in Versailles, and prepare themselves to be ready for the eventual big day.

In 1810, Jean Plancher and Renata, cousin of Napoleon, were the third couple. They run an inn in Paris, "Chez Bonaparte". Like the other two couples, they live in the shadow of their cousin, much to their despair, but know how to take advantage of their family bond when necessary.

In the title roles, no stars of series, but actors that we could see in secondary roles. David Salles, cousin by marriage of Napoleon, played a small role in Bref, or in the after-sales service of Omar and Fred. Ysabeau, played by Ophélia Kolb, recently starred in the series 10%.

A short history of France

This series brings a lot of humor, and a certain vision of life at the time. The costumes, and habits and customs, all with a lot of derision! A crush on behalf of Philippe Honoré de Roche Saint-Pierre, who made me die of laughter. With its little bourgeois side relaxed and frankly delirious!

I can only recommend this series! For the moment, La Petite Histoire de France is broadcast on W9, maybe one day on M6.

To follow La Petite Histoire de France, the mini-series is broadcast Monday to Friday at 20:40 and Saturday and Sunday at 17:40. As you will have understood, it is she who replaced the SODA series with Kev Adams, stopped a few months ago.
