National Geographic's anthology series, Genius, is back!
The Genius series deals, season after season, with the life of a " genius ", a personality who has changed, in one way or another, the face of the world. After Geoffrey Rush in the role of Albert Einstein in season 1, it is the turn of Antonio Banderas to integrate the series in the guise of the famous painter Pablo Picasso (see photo opposite). This role marks for Antonio Banderas his first leading role in an American series! For 10 episodes, viewers will be able to follow various passages of the life of the Spanish painter and his works.
The actor said he was "thrilled to be working with National Geographic." "The life story of Pablo Picasso has fascinated me for a long time and I have so much respect for this man, born in Málaga, like me."
Director Ron Howard (currently at the helm of the Star Wars spin-off on Han Solo) will again be in the production of Genius and could even direct a few episodes. Recall that the first season got this year 10 Emmy nominations and was a real success.
Season 2 of Genius should be broadcast on National Geographic in 2018! In the meantime, we let you rediscover the trailer of the first season, following the life of Albert Einstein.
