The fourth season of the series Empire ended a few weeks ago. We were able to find the whole Lyons family: the mama Cookie always ready to do anything to support and lead his family, Lucious who becomes Dwight and suddenly passionate about painting before finding his soul as CEO of Empire, the rebel of the Hakeem brothers become father, Jamal passionate between music and boyfriends.
As for Lucious, to make a little reminder that will not hurt, in the last episode of the third season, Lucious is the victim of an explosion caused by his eldest son André. Leaving us in suspense for several months, we learn later that the boss of Empire is suffering from Alzheimer's disease due to his accident that made him lose all notion of recognition of his family. A radical change of personality takes place since we are used to having a Lucious, ready to do anything so that his musical Empire triumphs and is always at the top, even if it means putting himself at odds and disappointing his family more than once. To help Lucious heal, it is Demi Moore who enters the series and is Lucious' personalized and permanent doctor since she lives with the Lyons, even if it means displeasing Cookie's fiery character. Place to a manipulation of the doctor on Lucious which lasted a few episodes before saying goodbye to this character not really useful!
Rest assured the leader of the Lyons quickly becomes the villain we love to hate but more gentleman with his Cookie.
On Cookie's side, during this fourth season we get to know the mother of the latter. Flashbacks of Cookie in prison are recurrent but are they of much use? Perhaps to introduce the violence that this experience and the police subjected her and her fellow inmates to her. In any case, the Lyons' mother was able to take the reins at the beginning of the season of the family business and as usual when her sons needed her, the protective Cookie has always been present for her family.
Jamal continues to befriend Tory, met in rehab and composes several music together before she ends her life with a bowl of fame. As for Hakeem, after losing custody of Bella to the Dubois, then regaining custody of the baby, we overdose on his sentimental back and forth with Tiana. Moreover, at the end of the final season, the latter announces to Hakeem that she is pregnant with him. We can already imagine the problems of the fifth season if Tiana stays with Empire in the clutches of Eddie. As for André, he still suffers from severe bipolar disorder and the Dubois do not help his illness by making him believe the existence of a Pamela, policeman, with whom he lives a "fictional romance".
Anika makes a few appearances, but true to herself, is impressionable after being manipulated by the Dubois, Lucious' ex thinks to recover Empire during the last episode of the season with the help of Eddie. This is without counting on the plan of André who finally gets his revenge by voluntarily killing Anika with hallucinogenic drugs and with the help of Rhonda's ghost!
Finally, during the final season, Eddie makes an offer to buy Empire that Cookie accepts to protect Lucious who had (again) committed a murder and this was going to be revealed. After the announcement of Tory's death, Jamal leaves the country to be alone and moves to London. Hakeem and Tiana are victims of a gunshot but suspense, we do not know who is hit or who will die… So who will be affected? What will become of Cookicious? How will they recover (or not) Empire? What will Jamal do in London?
These are the questions that all fans are asking themselves and we are waiting for the answers!
