Back to school is also on Netflix. At the beginning of September, the streaming giant offers its subscribers the first images of its new creation: Elite.
The second Netflix original series of Spanish origin
The Casa de Papel just has to behave. The famous streaming platform has just added a new string to its bow, which could well be ranked among the unmissable of this end of the year 2018. Called Elite, this new Netflix original creation straight from Spain, should be established on the streaming site from October 5. A series already eagerly awaited and noticed thanks to its most enticing trailer.
Directed by the duo Ramón Salazar and Dani de la Orden, the series points to the Encinas, a renowned school based in Spain, where only a small concentration of students from the upper middle class is admitted. All except three teenagers from a modest background who are welcomed into the school following the collapse of their own school. When they arrive, they face violence and mockery from their comrades. Riots begin to erupt until they result in the murder of a young schoolgirl at the beginning of the series.
Shaped in eight episodes, this new creation by Netflix relies on some actors of the hit series La Casa de Papel, namely Jaime Lorente (Denver), Miguel Herrán (Rio) and Maria Pedraza (Alison Parker). To complete the cast, the production called on Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Ester Expósito, Danna Paola, Mina El Hammani, Arón Piper, Álvaro Rico and Omar Ayuso.
For its second original Spanish creation after Les Demoiselles du Téléphone, Netflix opts for a drama series about the class struggle, which could well keep its subscribers in suspense.
