Many casting changes are to be expected for season 3 of Code Black with newcomers but also departures.
To begin with, we learn that Melanie Chandra who played Malaya Pineda since the first season will not be back in season 3 of Code Black.
Code Black will indeed get a makeover by integrating Tyler Perez, known for his role in Scream and who will play Diego, a rich charmer who has always had everything he wanted in life. He will be resident at Angel Memorial where the hospital will even allow him to make a film of his experiences!
Chaley Rose, playing in the series Nashville, will also be a guest star in the first episode of season 3. She will play the role of Pepper, a new resident who has the level required to participate in Angel's program but who will not necessarily be ready to cope with the gruelling pace of the hospital. Wanting to do her best, she will accumulate mistakes…Who will endanger his own life!
Finally, Moon Bloodgood from Falling Skies will also join the cast. She will give life to Rox, an extremely reactive and fearless member of the medical team who will take the reins of the team.
This season 3 of Code Black was officially ordered by CBS on May 14, no broadcast date is yet announced.
