Thomas Pesquet is no longer introduced. The French astronaut made us dream for six months with his photos taken from the International Space Station. Facing the hero we have Marion Montaigne. The author and cartoonist tells us with humor and pedagogy this incredible adventure.

Do you know how astronauts defecate in space? Do you know the different parts that make up the International Space Station? Don't panic, Marion Montaigne has the answers. Thanks to Dans la combi by Thomas Pesquet, you too will be able to spread your general knowledge. Step by step, it retraces the journey of Thomas Pesquet in his quest for the stars. A path strewn with pitfalls! We discover the psychology quizzes created by sadists, the superhuman physical tests and the encyclopedic knowledge that apprentice astronauts must store. We accompany our hero every step of the way. His difficulties, his joys, his frustrations, everything is shown to us by the pen of Marion Montaigne. The author offers us a global vision: she does not forget the entourage of Thomas Pesquet, also embarked on this extraordinary adventure. An epic that stretches over nine years. Nine years of wandering from Germany to Russia, from the United States to space. A great journey as funny as it is informative.

Collaboration that works

With her usual talent, Marion Montaigne manages to combine humor and education. The author of the series Tu mourras moins bête knows how to make the most complex notions accessible. And if some technical terms still escape us (you have to be an astronaut to understand what is behind the acronyms ECLSS or CDRA), we retain enough information to be able to shine on the next evening. The other head of this duo is obviously Thomas Pesquet. The astronaut was able to show a lot of self-mockery and humility. He gives himself through these pages and makes endearing his (exaggerated) character of invincible hero. The collaboration works wonderfully. Released in November 2017, the album has sold over 62,000 copies. He also received the Cultura Audience Award and was nominated for the Fauve d'Or at the Angoulême Festival.
