After testing all the virtual reality escapes in the Paris region, we went back to our roots to tackle a more classic escape game: La Pièce.

La pièce Try to win a session at La Pièce, a timeless escape game.
It was a room

In this room, you and your classmates are stuck in the office of Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland.
For 60 minutes, you will be led to interact with different elements of the most convincing period. A concern for authenticity in the realization, in the design of the puzzles and even in the choice of furniture (these breathe the antiquity and the Victorian era).
Although inspired very much by the universe of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass", the puzzles are not obvious, even if some seem in retrospect quite easy for fans of the original work.
This room will appeal to both Alice in Wonderland fans and neophytes, thanks to its beautiful visual and musical atmosphere, the realism of the play and the effectiveness of the puzzles, which are both difficult without insoluble beings.

The odyssey of the play

This escape, opened since May 1st, is much more difficult than the previous one. With only 15% success, it will offer you a challenge at the height of the best of you.
In this scenario, you will have to travel through a portal that only opens every 7 years for 1 hour! On the other side of this portal, there is a universe totally different from ours. Accompanied by your comrades, you will have to find out what happened to the previous expedition.
Once again, extreme care has been placed in the creation of this room: from floor to ceiling, the entire surface is covered with a most sinister and convincing décor, each new element being added to the previous one to create the sensation of being in an inhospitable universe.
An important point to emphasize is that the excavation is almost non-existent and the puzzles are particularly complex. This will certainly appeal to players who favor reflection to digging, but it can make this experience unattractive for beginners looking to discover the concept of escape game.

In conclusion: two excellent escape games

The team and I had a great time in both rooms (although we didn't get out of the second).
Nothing is to blame this brand either from the point of view of the rooms or the staff, who have been able to make the universe of scenarios more alive thanks to their performance as game masters.
We particularly appreciated the effort made in the sets, the smallest details are worked to create a total immersion, and in the puzzles which, although complicated, are fair and coherent.

We highly recommend the first room for beginners and fans of the Lewis Carol universe. The second is, in our opinion, more suitable for experienced players although feasible for all players who know how to follow a logical reflection from start to finish and followers of puzzle games.
