" In a society where technological issues are becoming more complex, the human being remains the only element of the equation that really matters. Its past recorded and analyzed, its present tracked and compiled, its future predicted and manipulated. What does humans do with these technologies, this power, and what impact does it have on them and others? That's the question WATCH_DOGS asks," says Thomas Geffroyd, Ubisoft's Director of Brand WATCH_DOGS Content.

For this adventure, the authors have invented an untold story that brings an important touch to the universe extended by the Watch Dogs games.

" In WATCH_DOGS, the city is hyper-connected. I wanted to explore the gray areas, or rather "white", that are not connected to the rest of the network. " says Simon Kansara, screenwriter. " It's a way of talking about disadvantaged neighbourhoods and urban inequalities. Hackers are fighting different battles. I wanted Sauda's to be social justice. I hope to be able to tell a warm story, close to the characters. Hacking is not just the business of computer experts. Taking control of technology, understanding it and knowing how to divert it to accomplish your own goals is within everyone's reach. I try to always keep that in mind when I'm working on the characters in the show. »

For cartoonist Horne, it was the "pirate" side, in every sense of the word, that motivated him to work on comics: " Here we find people who want to change the system with today's means. A kind of silent and above all global revolt. Knowing that anyone (and from anywhere) can make things evolve from a simple computer network, I think that's great, and it leaves us with huge openings. »
