We never stop talking about The Last of Us. After suffering very significant leaks of its scenario and the game in general this weekend, Sony has decided to give it a new release date. To fight against leaks on social networks, The Last of Us Part II will be released on June 19, 2020… at the expense of Ghost of Tsushima.
The Last of Us reprogrammed
Many of you must try to avoid any information about The Last of Us Part II. Promised, this article is guaranteed spoiler-free. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the title of Naughty Dog had been further postponed until an unknown date. However, on its blog, Sony revealed the new release date of the game. Players will be able to discover The Last of Us Part II on June 19. In the meantime, you will have to be very careful on the Internet so as not to spoil your experience. However, it is not yet possible to restart pre-orders of the game. Naughty Dog reacted to the game's leaks on his Twitter account: https://twitter.com/Naughty_Dog/status/1254840504182665219?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1254840504182665219&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeuxvideo.com%2Fnews%2F1217513%2Fthe-last-of-us-part-ii-naughty-dog-reagit-aux-fuites.htm
"We know how incredibly difficult the last few days have been for you. We feel the same way. It is disappointing to discover the publication and sharing of images of the game's development. Do your best to avoid spoilers and we ask that you do not spoil others. The Last of Us Part II will soon be in your hands. No matter what you see or read, the final experience will be worth it."
Ghost of Tsushima postponed!
However, this news is accompanied by another one that is both honourable but unpleasant. Indeed, June was shaping up to be the launch month of Ghost of Tsushima. The expected title of Sucker Punch (InFamous) sees its date shifted to July 17, 2020, to let the title of Naughty Dog come out first to face the leaks of the game. We can only understand this postponement because of the urgency of the situation. Nevertheless, we can only be slightly saddened because Ghost of Tsushima had escaped any change in its release date until today. At the same time, Hermen Hulst, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, said:
"I would like to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions for their achievements, as we know that it is not an easy task to reach the finish line under these circumstances. Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can't wait to see what you think when they come out in just a few months."
As you will have understood, we will still have to be a little patient. We will soon be able to discover these long-awaited games and Justfocus will of course be present to tell you about them. Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II will soon be in our hands.
