Thrustmaster and Frontier Developments announce a new partnership for the T.16000M FCS hotas (joystick and throttle) totally based on the gameplay of the space simulation game Elite Dangerous!
This hotas includes a T.16000M FCS joystick and the TWCS (Thrustmaster Weapon Control System) throttle . The T.16000M FCS HOTAS will run on PC with Windows 7, 8 and 10.
Joystick T.16000M FCS
The joystick will benefit from high performance and surgical precision. The pitch and roll controls of the T.16000M FCS joystick are equipped with H technology .E.Has.A.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology), which offers a resolution of 16 bits (16,000 x 16,000 values). This high-flying accuracy is identical to that of the HOTAS Warthog. The joystick is designed for both right-handed and left-handed people, thanks to its special ambidextrous design. The rotating handle of the joystick controls the rudder by default, but it is quite possible to lock it.
The T.16000M FCS features 4 axes, 16 action buttons with "Braille" button identification, an 8-way Chinese Point of View (POV) hat and an ergonomic trigger. Its orange dress and backlight add immersion and affirm the coherence with the universe of Elite Dangerous.
With its 25 years of experience, Thrustmaster has combined its know-how for flight simulation and space simulation joysticks to make a suitable and affordable joystick. "Working with Frontier, which is at the center of the space simulation renaissance with Elite Dangerous, is a natural fit for us, as Thrustmaster is a pioneer in flight simulation controllers," said Gilles Raulet, Thrustmaster's Director of Development. "The T.16000M FCS HOTAS has been designed for experienced pilots who need complete and realistic controls that can replace the mouse and keyboard. »
"Elite Dangerous players are looking for a HOTAS joystick with an accessible interface at an affordable price. I am confident that Thrustmaster's new T.16000M FCS HOTAS meets their expectations perfectly," said Jo Cooke, Chief Marketing Officer of Frontier. "Elite Dangerous is a sophisticated flight simulation, and our players want precision control. The T.16000M's magnetic sensors and numerous buttons and axes provide the precision our pilots need to hit their targets, execute complex maneuvers in dangerous asteroid fields, adjust their elevation or sideways dodge hostile fire, all while having quick access to the game's advanced controls from their cockpits. »
TWCS Throttle
And a new Thrustmaster! It is the first throttle with weapons control system with S technology .Mr.Has.A.T (Sliding Motion Advanced Rail Tracks). This exclusive system of sliding rails allows an absolutely fluid and very precise movement of the throttle. The lower position of the TWCS throttle compared to quadrant systems a single comfort. Users can adjust the friction level of the throttle as they wish thanks to the clamping screw.
The TWCS throttle has 5 axes and a rear RJ12 connector providing 3 additional axes via the TFRP external rudder (available as an option). The main axes of the throttle give a resolution of 16 bits (65,635 values), with a resolution of 10 bits (or 1024 values) on all other axes, including the 2-axis mini-stick dedicated to the control of elevation and lateral movement or the camera, the rudder and the rotary knob of the radio.
For more customization of controls, the throttle offers 14 buttons and an 8-way Chinese viewpoint hat (in addition to those of the joystick). In total, gamers have 9 axes, 30 buttons and two 8-way Chinese hats, as well as 3 additional axes (via the optional TFRP rudder). The throttle and joystick have non-slip rubber pads for rock-solid stability. For cockpit owners, joystick and joystick are also equipped with 2 holes compatible with the standard 25 mm M6 screws.
All-in-one ecosystem!
To pair the T.16000M FCS HOTAS with other Thrustmaster devices and create game profiles, players can download the Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor ( T.Has.A.G.E.T).
Therefore, T.Has.A.G.E.T is useful to combine allows the T.16000M FCS HOTAS, TFRP rudder and Cougar MFD cockpit panels to get no less than 12 axes and 86 buttons !
The T. 16000M FCS HOTAS is compatible for VR and will be available in September at a suggested retail price of €129.99!
