Hell and damnation! The Last of Us Part II, the title that we no longer present, will finally not be released next month. No official date has been confirmed. No, it's not a late April Fool's joke… Covid 19 is pushing developers to work remotely. And this delays the release of many games. One could have doubts about the title of Naughty Dog. It finally happened! Sony has made the decision to postpone the release of The Last of Us Part II to a later date than May 29, 2020. The game is thus postponed for the third time. Unfortunately, it was the Naughty Dog group itself that confirmed this bad news on the social network Twitter. https://twitter.com/Naughty_Dog/status/1245773177944281089?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1245773177944281089&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeuxvideo.com%2Fnews%2F1205698%2Fcoronavirus-the-last-of-us-part-ii-et-marvel-s-iron-man-vr-sont-repousses-jusqu-a-nouvel-ordre.htm

As you've probably seen, the release of The Last of Us Part II has been delayed. We are sure that this news disappoints you as much as it disappoints us. We then wanted to contact you to give you a little more information. The good news is that we're almost done with development on The Last of Us Part II. We are in the process of fixing our latest bugs. However, even with the end of development, we were faced with the reality that due to logistics beyond our control, we could not launch The Last of Us Part II as planned. We want to make sure everyone can play our game pretty much at the same time, making sure we do everything we can to preserve the best experience possible. That meant delaying the game until we could solve those logistical issues. We were disappointed by this decision, but it was the best thing to do for all our players. We hope it won't be a long delay and we'll keep you posted as soon as we have new information to share. We wish you all, your families and friends, good health. Stay safe! (Naughty Dog)

Iron Man threatened in turn!

Bad news never comes alone. Sony announces that Covid19 forces another exclusive to suffer the same fate. Indeed, the brand new highly anticipated VR experience: the game Marvel's Iron Man whose release date was initially scheduled for May 15, 2020 is finally postponed. Fans of the Marvel superhero will have to wait in the hope that a press release finally reveals its marketing, the latter having also experienced many delays. The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man have been removed from PlayStation Store and are no longer available for pre-order until further notice. https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/1245773000592384001

Sony has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man until further notice. Logistically, the crisis prevents us from giving players the experience they deserve.

Who will be next?

The coronavirus is wreaking havoc on the video game industry. If works are finally released on time like Resident Evil 3, we could still hope for Sony games. We can only be frustrated. Maybe it's better this way? There is no need for the development of a game to push to put oneself in danger, especially since Naughty Dog is accused of crunch towards his employees for The Last of Us Part II. We can reassure ourselves that we will be able to enjoy several bright games at the end of this pandemic. We also wish a good recovery to the employees of Capcom and Kojima Productions infected with the virus. Fingers crossed that Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077 do not suffer the same thing… Or maybe they will be released exclusively online, as dematerialized games see their sales increase during lockdown… We believe in it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdRDq6fRakI
