Pokémon Sword & Shield are just recovering from their success when a new tool is very enticing for players: Pokémon Home !

As promised last January during the "Pokémon Direct", the Pokémon Home application was officially launched in February 2020. Collectors of all stripes can now gather all their creatures in a single application. For now, only the Sword & Shield versions as well as Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee can enjoy it. However, compatibility with Pokémon Go is planned very soon and an update has been made to make the application compatible with the Pokémon Bank.

When capitalism gets involved

Good! All this is all well and good but obviously, it will be necessary to make profitable an application so important for the players. It should therefore be noted that Pokémon Home will have a free basic version, as well as a paid premium version.

Pokémon Home: The app is available on Switch, iOS, and Android

So far nothing illogical, but where the magic of capitalism has its effect is when we understand that several subscriptions will be necessary. Indeed, if you want to enjoy all the capabilities of Pokémon Home, you will need to take a mobile subscription, a switch subscription, as well as a subscription to the Pokémon Bank… Only in this way can you transfer all your ancient creatures in order to enjoy them to the fullest. But it should be noted that to celebrate the launch of Pokémon Home, a one-month trial is available for the Pokémon Bank.

Premium Membership Price for Pokémon HOME

3 months (90 days)EUR 4.99EUR 5.49

35 new Pokémon to transfer

To celebrate the launch of the app, you can also transfer some previously inaccessible Pokémon to the Sword & Shield versions. You can now import:

  • Bubasy
  • Herbizarre
  • Florizarre
  • Carapuce
  • Carabaffe
  • Tortank
  • Mewtwo
  • Mew
  • Celebrate
  • Jirachi
  • Cobaltium

Be careful though! You will only be able to obtain the famous creatures via the Pokémon Home app and provided you have already captured these Pokémon in their old versions. As for other Pokémon, you will only be able to transfer them if they are part of the Galar Pokédex.

We must therefore believe that the Sword & Shield versions have not finished surprising us, since in addition to these novelties, we must remember that two extensions will arrive this year, in order to make the Galar region live a little longer !
