Frontier Developments announces the release of its amusement park simulation game Planet Coaster for the end of 2016.
Pre-orders of Planet Coaster will be open on August 25 on Steam but for the impatient, the game is already pre-ordered on the Frontier website. All users will still receive a Steam key at launch.
On August 23rd, the Alpha 3 phase of the game will take place. From this day forward, players will have to go through Steam. Alpha players will receive a Steam key through their FrontierStore account starting this date. Steam and Steam Workshop are like the backbone of in-game community and sharing options.
The Planet Coaster Alpha is accessible exclusively from FrontierStore.net until August 25, after which Frontier Developments will close access to all new players. Alpha Phase 3 will launch via Steam, and will remain playable and supported by Frontier until Planet Coaster enters the Beta phase.
