Gamescom Cologne returns for a new edition from 22 to 26 August! On this occasion Nintendo had the opportunity to unveil some new features to come on the Switch, which has been making a lot of noise for a few months.

Additional content for the latest games released!

In terms of multiplayer play, Splatoon 2 and Arms are seeing their content expand with an additional free addition before the start of the school year.

For Arms, it's about the arrival of a new fighter named Lola Pop ! Particularly effective in defense, this colorful character is an accomplished circus performer covered in sweets.

It will integrate Arms in the next update and will be accompanied by three new weapons and an additional arena! If you have not yet been conquered by this game, a Global Test Punch will be set up this weekend from Friday, August 25 at 5pm CEST to Sunday, August 27 at 10pm CEST. To do this, simply download the Global Test Punch version of the game from the Nintendo Shop and launch it during the times indicated.

For Splatoon 2, three new features are coming:

  • A new map named Manta Maria will be available from August 26, 2017. It offers you to fight on a ship that is moored in a port, both in turf war match and in pro match.
  • The special bubble launcher weapon will also appear on September 2, 2017. Incorporated into the set of the pro-scratched liquidator, this weapon will allow its user to throw up to three large bubbles that will explode in contact with ink from your team.
  • A new stage is available today in the Salmon Run mode, its name: Barracks Barracuda !

The SNES Mini is becoming clearer!

The Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) still scheduled for September 29, 2017, offers us a trailer presentation of the console!

A Replay function will be incorporated into the console to go back in time a few moments in the games! From 40 seconds for action-oriented games like Super Mario World, to several minutes for RPGs like Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, this feature will allow you to correct errors on particularly difficult segments, recover forgotten objects or simply relive a major event, the scope of the flashback will depend on the game used.

Also related to the SNES mini, on October 13, 2017 the New Nintendo 3DS XL – Super Nintendo Entertainment System Edition will be released!  The outer shell of this retro-themed Nintendo 3DS pays homage to the classic Super Nintendo design, and the buttons on the console are colored like the controllers of the original console. To accompany the newest addition to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, three new titles in the Nintendo Selects line will be released on the same day: SUPER MARIO 3D LAND, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
