While the final qualifying matches are still ongoing, Paris is preparing to host the biggest Esports event ever seen in France! The European finals of the LCS ("League Championship Series") will take place on September 2 and 3 at the AccorHotels Arena.
When we talk about Esports, we are forced to talk about League of Legends (LOL). Indeed, this game is a pioneer in the professionalization of competitive video games (Esports) on a global scale. LOL is 100 million active players per month making it the most played competitive team game in the world! The competitions are therefore always eagerly awaited and watched thanks to the quality of production and the reputation of the players.
The first stake of these finals is none other than a ticket for the World Championship, in China, next November! The importance for the organizers is quite different, since it is a question of proving to the world that the France knows how to organize Esports events of this scale, this is the ambition of Riot Games: to mark the spirits since the France. The bet is (almost) already won, since more than 15,000 tickets have been sold (including more than 11,000 in a single week!), the attendance record of the last finals organized in Hamburg dating back to last April is already beaten (12,300 tickets sold)
