Already finished Final Fantasy 7 remake ? Looking forward to what's next? Cheer up! Chapter 2 is already in development at Square Enix. Released in 1997 for PlayStation, Final Fantasy 7 is one of the greatest classics in video game history. The remake was therefore expected by gamers as the Holy Grail. Only there is a small problem… The remake is well out, but only the first part! Indeed, it was announced in 2015 that the game would be released in several chapters. This would aim to provide the most complete and immersive experience possible for players. But a question is already starting to arise among players. When will Chapter 2 be released? The first part took five years to arrive, so there is cause for concern. But franchise producer Yoshinori Kitase was reassuring. Interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, Kitase said:
"Development is already underway for the remake of the next game in the franchise."
Obviously, no date has been announced and the current circumstances do not really allow to project.But we can expect that Square Enix already has a battle plan for the release of this sequel. Now that the remake machine is relaunched, Final Fantasy should land at a more steady pace. It only remains to hope that the players will not have to wait another 5 years. Final Fantasy 7 remake was a commercial and critical success. Enough to encourage studios to activate to develop the sequel. In the meantime, there is plenty to do levels games. Indeed, many cult titles are currently offered to overcome confinement. The offer is obviously limited, so take advantage of it!
