E3 2016: PC Gaming Show Conference Summary

We remember (at least the few who saw it) the PC Gaming show conference at E3 2015 as not being very memorable. Well, let's talk frankly: it sucked. Imagine nearly 2h30 of trailers of unknown games or even already released, it really did not do justice to the PC all that. This year, major PC game studios have already been announced, which suggests something a little more interesting (at the same time it will not be hard to do better than the 2015 session). Let's see what happens. 

WARHAMMER DAWN OF WAR 3

Accompanied by a splendid cosplay of Space Marine, the developers come to talk about Dawn of War 3 with exclusive gameplay sequences in pre-alpha. As usual, a gripping campaign will be offered around the Warhammer 40K universe .

Behind this rather unusual title hides the next title of the Klei studio which is behind the games Don't Starve and Mark of the Ninja. We are simply entitled to a short teaser announcing early 2017.

ARK SURVIVAL EVOLVED

This time, it is not a world first since it is Ark Survival Evolved, present to unveil official mods, including Primal that will play a creature of the game throughout its life cycle from birth to adulthood. Rather nice as an idea, case to follow.

GIANT COP

A title that allows you to play, as its title suggests, a giant policeman. It's quite atypical and we let you judge for yourself, because in fact I do not see what to add on this thing, except that it strongly recalls the old god modes where we embodied gods like Populou or Black and White (both by Peter Molyneux, strangely…)

MOUNT AND BLADE II BANNERLORD

A sequel this time but not just any since the first opus had a resounding success. The battles promise to be epic with opportunities to use siege weapons. Frankly, we can't even look forward to seeing more, but just playing it!

THE SURGE

A game published by Focus Home Interactive and developed by Deck 13. After making players suffer in Lords of the Fallen, the nice devs had the desire to make us suffer in a futuristic Dark Souls like. Nice guys! On the other hand the trailer has not been put online. Too bad.

LAW BREAKERS

A kind of poor man's Overwatch . Well, we're going to be less mean since Cliff Bleszinski (formerly of Gears of War) is behind the project. It sounds nervous as a hero shooter, but the universe and design are still furiously reminiscent of Blizzard's game, which was already reminiscent of Team Fortress 2. Short.

EVERYTHING HAS 10,000 BALLS OR I REPACK

Here I reassure you it is not a game but simply a fantasy title to describe Lisa Su from Amd who comes to present her super prototypes of graphics cards of the future in a briefcase that we would swear to have seen in the hands of Jack Bauer. This highly original advertising space is a stark reminder that this is a conference sponsored by AMD. Like last year, Lisa Su assures that they are all "very excited" at AMD to offer all this beautiful material. Must believe that they are excited all the time in this box. It must be exhausting! We still take the opportunity to throw a small sequence of Doom to show how the game, it is too beautiful on AMD gear, and a small trailer of Serious Sam VR, anyway.

OBSERVE

A horror FPS project from Bloober team, the creators of Layers of Fear. The game will take place in a cyberpunk universe and looks rather dark.

DUAL UNIVERSE 

A space sandbox mmo in a science fiction universe (mmm… consistent) for an Alpha scheduled for early 2017. This first presentation of the game of the French Novaquark seems rather promising, in any case, it is at this point that I woke up.

HALO WARS 2

WARFRAME

We're going to finish on a high note with the balloon game expansion for TPS Warframe: Lunaro. This is not a joke. Now in Warframe, you will be able to make matches of a rather strange sport. The whole thing is a kind of mix between the Blitzball of Final Fantasy X and … Ben… Rocket League ? In short, we let you judge.
