Square Enix has just revealed more information about the action RPG Nier Automata. Sequel to Nier which was released in 2010 on PS3, Nier Automata will tell the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 who find themselves engaged in a hard fight to save their world invaded by evil machines. You will particularly follow 2B (nice little name, if so) which will be deployed in an automated infantry detachment: the YoRHa. She can shoot from a distance thanks to her "Pod" but is also equipped with a sword for hand-to-hand combat. His eyes are almost permanently veiled behind a military sight, which reflects rather well his generally calm and detached character.
In this dystopian universe, the human race is forced to flee to the moon by suffering the onslaught of powerful machines. From there, humans have only one wish: to recover their planet. To do this, they form a special unit of androids: the YoRHa. Fighting machines with others seems the only way to be able to prevail in this war.
Over the course of the incessant clashes between machines and androids, the light could well be shed on a well-buried truth. Developed by Platinum games, Nier Automata should be available on PS4 in early 2017 in PAL (i.e. European) version.
