The Polish company that created The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 shows a lot of humanity! Indeed, CD Projekt offers a sum approaching one million euros to an association intended to come to the needs of patients and hospitals in Poland. Named the Fundacja Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (Great Christmas Charity Orchestra), this structure helps the many infected with the Coronavirus. The donation of the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 is 4 million zlotys, or about 880,000 euros. Thus, in a message published on the social network Linkedin, the co-founder of CD Projekt says:
"Together with Fundacja Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, a Polish NGO established with more than 20 years of history in fundraising for medical equipment, we have today donated the sum of 4 million złotys to fight the spread of COVID-19 in Poland. The board of directors and major shareholders of the company donated 2 million złotys. And an additional 2 million złotys were donated by the company itself. We would like to thank all the brave people who fight for our well-being on a daily basis and hope that these funds will help you in your efforts to rid us of this virus."
This gesture is reminiscent of other charitable actions carried out by companies around the world. We will remember in particular the donation of food made by Disneyland to the most disadvantaged, following its closure. Cyberpunk 2077 is still expected for September 17, with the promise that the development will allow its commercialization on the scheduled date.
