Alawar and Warm Lamp Games have announced that their Beholder dystopia simulator, available on Steam for PC, MAC, and Linux, will soon receive a major DLC pack called Blissful Sleep.
Keeping the totalitarian atmosphere of the original wearer, the DLC transports players back in time, telling the events that took place in the house before the ministry named Carl as the tenant you initially played in Beholder. "After the successful launch of Beholder last year, we saw how people got involved and got into the narrative, so we decided to start working on a DLC pack featuring the revenge of the original game," said Evgeny Sister, producer at Alawar. "As a cog in a totalitarian machine, players face a relentless dystopian reality: laws are oppressive, people are under complete surveillance, and privacy is non-existent. They must decide whether to keep 'the machine' smoothly or follow their heart and choose a more ethical course of action."
The Beholder: Blissful Sleep DLC features several deeper and more complex character antecedents as well as the story set in the same Krushvice 6 house before Beholder debuted. The laws of the state have become more oppressive than ever, disrupting people's lives and leaving them unhappy and seeking salvation. Players will therefore continue to operate under strict totalitarian rules, which will eventually lead to certain different endings depending on your choices.
Beholder offers you the opportunity to answer some questions: If you had the power to destroy someone's privacy, should you follow the donor's orders?
