If the new expansion of World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth has been announced for a few months, the release date remained nebulous. Today, the mist disappears as the next expansion of the world's most played MMORPG will be available on August 14, 2018!
With Battle for Azeroth, World of Warcrafmarks its seventh expansion since its launch in 2004. It is more than ever the time to prove his allegiance to his faction with this extension which is above all PVP. While players can already pre-purchase access to this new challenge, Blizzard wants to clarify the different options available:
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is currently available for pre-purchase as a Standard Edition (boxed and download versions for €44.99) and a Deluxe Edition for download ($59.99). The latter contains many bonuses for different Blizzard games: the Seahair Stallion (Alliance) and Golden Ravasaur (Horde) mounts as well as Tortois, the baby tortollan for World of Warcraft , the "Azeroth burns" card back for Hearthstone, the primordial Fire Saber mount for Heroes of the Storm, Horde and Alliance tags for StarCraft II and an array of objects in the colors of both factions for Overwatch.
Battle for Azeroth will also be available in a boxed Collector's Edition ( €99.99). This contains the in-game items from the Deluxe Edition for download, as well as valuable loot that allows players to display their faction membership:
- Two-sided Allegiance – Horde and Alliance: Declare your allegiance with this impressive two-sided emblem (support included). Place it on your desk or on a shelf on the side of your choice to show your loyalty to your faction.
- Two novels in one book – Elegy and An Honorable War: This limited hardcover brings together two previously unpublished World of Warcraft short novels that depict the destruction of Teldrassil from the perspective of the Alliance and the Horde. - Battle for Azeroth Download Soundtrack: Each Collector's Edition contains a key to download the expansion's sumptuous orchestral compositions. The perfect background music to besiege your enemies!
The World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Collector's Edition is now available for pre-purchase. Stocks are limited and players are encouraged to check with their usual retailer for more information on pre-purchase and stock availability. Players who have already pre-purchased the download edition of the expansion and wish to upgrade to the Collector's Edition at launch of the expansion will have their Blizzard wallet credited with the amount of their original purchase if they use their Collector's Edition key before December 31, 2018.
