Albion Online, the sandbox mmorpg, continues to offer content to its players with new updates planned for the coming months.
Albion Online wants to be part of the long term and to do this, the game team will propose additions, modifications (like what had been the alpha and beta phases)… Major updates will be offered at a rate of 3 to 4 per year. Above all, it is connectivity issues that are the priority of the staff.
Joseph update: late September, early October
The first update in a long series, Joseph will bring its share of changes.
- Albion Arena : brand new feature, it will allow PvP battles in 5v5 during matches lasting 10 minutes. These confrontations will be an opportunity to win awards in addition to places in the ranking. The registration system will be like that of the Expeditions with a ranking to fight against fighters of the same level.
- The locations of the relic chests will become safe bets with the addition of continual cash rewards, and new rather profitable PvE monsters.
- Dungeons and fixed camps will see an increase in their loot!
- Two new T6 Expeditions will be added
Essential spirits will be able to give Essences and new skills will be added on some weapons. The interface will be improved to allow an appreciable gaming comfort. Items will be balanced and battles modified.
"Kay" update: end of year
Scheduled three months after the "Joseph" update, Kay will see the light of day at the end of the year. It will focus on the notion of Guild with the GvG so that players participate more and are better rewarded.
- Guild Power Ranking : Ranking points will be awarded to maintain Watchtower territories and through this, an overall guild ranking will be established. This ranking will be reset on a regular basis and the territories will then be overwhelmed by NPC forces. These "enemies" will have to be overthrown to retain the territory. This way, the big guilds shouldn't rule over multiple Watchtowers at the beginning of the season.
- Important rewards : the guild that wins the first place, will have the immense privilege of seeing its associate in the season: "the age of <name of the guild>". Fighters will be able to win many exceptional mounts with unique specificities.
- Territory Raid : Players will be able to steal a few reward points from a territory-owning guild by exterminating the guards of a Watchtower and replacing them with their own.
- Performance : In large-scale battles, performance is revised upwards as well as performance on tablets. A beta will be set up for iOS.
After Kay, there will also be other updates that should bring: Elite Expeditions and expedition challenges, interactive PvE locations, Blessings, guild upgrades, aesthetic rewards and much more.
