This week, Alan Wake, the famous title of Remedy, celebrated its 10 years of existence. Survival horror will now be available on Xbox Game Pass!
Earlier this week, Justfocus featured a column on why Alan Wake is coming back. For the few who have not yet tried this adventure on the border of the works of Stephen King and David Lynch, you will finally be able to try your luck! Indeed, the famous cursed writer of Remedy will now be in the Xbox Game Pass PC and console from May 21st. The announcement was presented as part of a ten-year anniversary live.

In addition, you should know that Remedy has signed with Epic Games to fully finance its next multiplatform production. The contract is very advantageous: the entire development budget will be covered and the studio will recover 50% of the profits of the game, while retaining their intellectual property. Unfortunately, it won't be the sequel to Alan Wake yet. However, creative director and writer Sam Lake finally confirms to Game Informer, that the next expansion "AWE" of the game Control will include references and a real connection with the writer as we ourselves had indicated in our file.
"We didn't want to make a big splash about it before it came out… But I wanted to build the idea of a connected universe for Remedy in the background. If you play Control, you'll find things that show that Alan Wake exists in the same world. For fans of the time who didn't quite understand what was going on in Alan Wake, like Max Payne, the story was really one man's experience or journey. Some things are not explained further than he sees them. We now have this office that deals with these things and applies science and research to them. We have an opportunity to reflect on what happened in Alan Wake and how the Bureau sees it. Well, there was this otherworldly event that took place in Bright Falls and they suddenly have this terminology. We have people saying, "I loved Alan Wake but I didn't quite understand what happened. Now I'm playing Control and I understand what happened!" It was really fun and a great opportunity. […] I can say that you will know more about the Bureau's research, what happened in Alan Wake and where they are today. It's pretty cool with Alan Wake's 10th anniversary that we have the opportunity to have more content related to this game for fans."
Only a few weeks left before you have the chance to dive back into Control, Remedy's latest game. In the meantime, Alan Wake is available for less than €2 on Steam!
