2K and WWE have just announced the renewal of their agreement regarding the development of the official games of the famous American wrestling federation. Since the bankruptcy of the publisher THQ in December 2012, the license had been bought by 2K who had left the development to Yuke's before entrusting it to Visual Concepts. We now know that the partnership in force since 2013 will continue, and this, for several years.

Within WWE, 2K has full confidence in the words of Casey Collins, WWE's Executive Vice President of Merchandise: "2K's values, respect for authenticity, quality and dedication to the global brand have been a perfect complement to WWE."

2K also doesn't seem unhappy with this market, which seems to benefit everyone, given the statements of David Ismailer, CEO of 2K: "The partnership between 2K and WWE over the past three years represents a great addition to the company's franchise portfolio."

2K has also renewed its investment in WWE SuperCard, a card game on iOS and Android based on the WWE universe. While we're at it, we remind you that 2K is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive which is discussed in our article on Rockstar's communication strategy.
