No more rumors, uncertainties, questions about a new season X-files… You will see Scully and Mulder very soon!
X-Files fans had been waiting for months to find out if there was going to be a season 11 and the news finally broke: FOX is renewing the famous mythical series for an eleventh season longer than the previous one. This new season will have 4 more episodes than the10th, bringing the total number of episodes to 10.Actors including Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny as well as director Chris Carter have finally been able to find a period where they will all be available to shoot… And it's sooner than you imagined!
Indeed, filming is scheduled for this summer! So it's hard to believe that it wasn't planned before! But discretion obliges, all have kept the secret – although some indicated, in a more or less subtle way, that a sequel was to be expected… Another news that has its importance: The series will be broadcast in the 2017/2018 season which means that it will probably be in December/January/February as for the Revival! Less than a year of waiting to find our (ex?) favorite FBI agents! And let's not forget: this new season will probably focus on the search for William, the son of the ex-couple. The news came in a press release from David Madden, president of the Fox Broadcasting Company, who said, "Iconic characters, rich plots, bold creators, that's all that makes great TV shows. And that's why The X-Files series has had such a profound impact on millions of fans around the world. Chris' creativity, combined with David and Gillian's brilliant work, continues to drive this pop culture phenomenon forward, and we're excited to see what new mysteries Mulder and Scully will uncover in this new chapter of The X-Files."
It also appears after the announcement of the release of an audio book called 'The X-files: Cold Cases' by Audible Studios which already planned the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in their respective roles of Mulder and Scully.
