Netflix surprised fans by unveiling the first main trailer for season 2 of The Witcher this Friday, October 29 at the Lucca Comics & Games Convention, Italy.
A first trailer as terrifying as it is enticing
Geralt and Ciri are officially back! The streaming giant finally offers the trailer of the long-awaited season 2 of The Witcher. On the occasion of its virtual festival Tudum, Netflix had teased the second part of the series, without convincing. Indeed, the first images unveiled were none other than extracts of the first season, which had not delighted the fans of the first hour. Fortunately, Netflix has made up for it by unveiling by surprise the first images of season 2. At the Lucca Comics and Games Convention in Italy, the platform released a mouth-watering trailer, which promises us a new high-flying installment. As a reminder, The Witcher is an adaptation of the literary saga of the Witcher and follows the adventures of the witcher Geralt, a mutant beast hunter, who fights to find a place in a world where humans turn out to be more vicious than monsters. In season 2, we will find Geralt, convinced that Yennefer died during the terrible battle of Sodden. In addition, he will also seek to bring Princess Cirilla to his childhood home in Kaer Morhen, a safe place. As the kings, elves, humans, and demons of the continent battle for supremacy outside its walls, Geralt must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses within. Between chaos, war, monsters and violence, the first images are enough to make our mouths water. Season 2 of The Witcher will be available on Netflix on December 17. Note that a third season is already confirmed, and that a spin-off is in preparation.
