Adaptation of the novel by Philip K. Dick, The Master of the High Castle, The Man in the High Castle is a series whose first season was broadcast last November on the VOD platform Amazon Video. Season 2, scheduled for December 16, is revealed through a trailer and sublime promotional photos to discover below.
Produced by Ridley Scott, to whom we owe Blade Runner or Gladiator, the series The Man in the High Castle plunges us into 1947, in the heart of Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan, which, after using the A-bomb, won the Second World War and share the United States. The east is largely controlled by Germany ("Greater Nazi Reich") while the west is ruled by Japan ("Japanese Pacific States"). The central part of the continent, called "The Rocky Mountain States", is a neutral zone. In 1962, when Führer Adolf Hitler was ill, political tensions between Germany and Japan were at their peak. In this Cold War atmosphere, a group of resistance fighters tries to secure the images of a secret film, The Grasshopper Lies Heavy , created by the famous "Master of the High Castle". But Japanese and German police are on their trail.
