The Hulu platform has confirmed the long-awaited return of The Handmaid's Tale.

After the success of the series at the Emmy Awards but also with the public, it was inevitable that a season 2 is preparing and it will probably arrive much sooner than we could have thought. The American streaming platform Hulu announced on Wednesday that The Handmaid's Tale would return in April 2018, that is to say in just six months!

As a reminder, the series is adapted from the eponymous novel by Margaret Atwood (in French, the title is The Handmaid's Tale). In the near future where sterility is becoming a major problem, a powerful Christian fundamentalist sect decides to use fertile women as surrogate mothers and sex slaves. We follow June Osborne (played by the brilliant Elisabeth Moss), captured and put at the service of the Waterford couple. Season 2 (spoilers alert) will then probably revolve around June's pregnancy and the daily struggle she endures with the other Handmaids.

Season 2 of The Handmaid's Tale will be released in April 2018 on Hulu and should probably be available in France at the same time on OCS. In the meantime, rediscover the trailer of the first season below!
