The Flash + Supergirl = musical!
There are about ten days left before discovering the musical crossover between the CW series The Flash and Supergirl. The opportunity to discover a first teaser that takes us straight into a world like the 40s:
The first part of the crossover will take place in the episode of Supergirl aired on Monday, March 20, entitled Star-Crossed. We will be able to discover the very first appearance of the character played by Teri Hatcher. The end of the episode will launch the real plot of this meeting between Superman's cousin and the speedster, when the Music Meister (Darren Criss) attacks Supergirl and plunges her into a coma.
The sequel will air the next day, Tuesday, March 20, in The Flash episode Duets : Barry and the team are surprised when Mon-El and J'onn arrive on their Earth with a comatose Supergirl who has been attacked by the Music Meister. Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises Flash and puts him in the same coma, a condition that the team cannot cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like in a musical. The only way out is to follow the script, complete with singing and dancing until the end.
This crossover will be an opportunity to discover a Roaring Twenties atmosphere and especially to be able to hear sing several actors of the two series such as Grant Gustin (Barry) and Melissa Benoist (Kara) but also Jesse L. Martin (Joe), Carlos Valdes (Cisco) and Jeremy Jordan (Winn). They will be joined for the occasion by Victor Garber (Professor Martin Stein of DC's Legends of Tomorrow) and John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn).
Rachel Bloom, writer for the series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has written a song that will be performed by Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin and called Super Friends.
The episode of Supergirl will be the sixteenth of season 2 and that of The Flash will be the seventeenth of season 3.
