While season 2 is available on Netflix since last month, rumors are rife about season 3 of The Crown!
All fans of The Crown know that the series will undergo a phenomenal change for season 3: the cast will change radically, since it is necessary at some point to age the royal family at the rate of the passing years. At the moment, it is still not ordered by Netflix but, if it comes back, it will take us directly into the 70s. A few months ago, it was announced that Olivia Colman would reprise the role of Queen Elizabeth II.
The latest rumour was relayed by the London Evening Standard and announced that Helena Bonham Carter could join the series. She would take on the role of Princess Margaret, succeeding Vanessa Kirby. The London Evening Standard also makes predictions on the resumption of the role of Prince Philip: so far the two actors retained would be David Tennant and Michael Sheen. If Netflix confirms this dream casting, we can only be impatient!
Both seasons of The Crown are available on Netflix.
