After the medical evening, it's time for the police party on TF1!
TF1 has decided to bring out the heavy artillery for its month of May. Indeed, the French channel will offer from Tuesday, May 2 at 21:00 the series Lethal Weapon, surprise success of FOX this season. In this adaptation of the 1987 film of the same name, we find Damon Wayans (My Family First) as Roger Murtaugh, a veteran cardiac cop who teams up with Martin Riggs, former SEAL (played by Clayne Crawford – Rectify), on the streets of Los Angeles. The second traumatized by the death of his pregnant wife has suicidal tendencies that constantly lead him to push his limits and take foolish risks to put criminals out of harm's way. The duo, although unlikely, is effective but their adventures often end in significant financial damage to the chagrin of their captain, Brooks Avery (Kevin Rahm – Desperate Housewives). Dr. Maureen Cahill (Jordanna Brewster – Dallas), a police psychiatrist, follows Riggs to get him to confide in these feelings.
The franchise, relaunched last September in the United States, is a great critical and public success with a solid fan base. Indeed, every week, 6.5 million viewers follow the adventures of the unlikely duo.
And as TF1 loves series, it will propose from the same day, from 23:30 the series Rush Hour. Also adapted from a successful franchise (with 3 films in 1998, 2001 and 2007), the series has unfortunately not been a great success across the Atlantic and has only one small season of 13 episodes.
