The Runaways series had been when it was released as a comic-book a real springboard for its author with the general public. An original plot, an attractive treatment of the characters and well-conducted interactions between the characters had made this title a success. At a time when American networks all want their heroic series, Hulu has positioned itself in relation to an audience composed of teenagers and young adults. The platform will compete directly with the channels of the CW which achieves good results with the arrow-verse. Fans of the Marvel universe, however, hope that the treatment of the characters will be realistic.
Brian K. Vaughan, the author of the comic-book, had been able to transcribe with a certain ease, the concerns of a gang of teenagers on the run. The cast is not known, and some choices like the actress chosen to play Molly (who is supposed to be much younger than the others) may be talking. However, the fact that the first trailer is quite faithful to the original material and shows some new tracks bode well for this adaptation that will land on November 21.
