It didn't take long to hear from the people of Riverdale!
The first season of Riverdale was released on Netflix last January, leaving fans of comics and the series waiting for a potential sequel. In the last minutes of the season, we were treated to a cliffhanger quite substantial concerning Archie and his father (we will not say more so as not to spoil those who would still like to discover the series). During the CW panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the press and fans present were able to discover exclusively the trailer of season 2 of Riverdale, which was then broadcast on the Internet for the general public. We find of course Archie (K.J. Apa), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty (Lili Reinhart), but also Cheryl (Madeleine Petsch), creepier than ever!
A new cast member was also revealed during Comic-Con: Vanessa Morgan, who will play the role of Toni Topaz, a character from the comics. According to the executive producer of the series Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, she will be "an invigorating member for the Southside Serpents" which should also trouble the couple Jughead / Betty as soon as she arrives in Riverdale. Note that another actress, Brit Morgan, was also included in the cast a few weeks ago for the role of Penny Peabody.
We will still have to wait until next October to discover in full season 2 of Riverdale ; In the meantime, check out the trailer below!
