The small town of Riverdale is not yet ready to reveal its last secrets…
Riverdale, Greg Berlanti's new series adapted from the Archie comic book will return next season for a second season. This is indeed what the American channel CW has just announced. Broadcast since January, the series gathers an average of 1.2 million viewers each week for a rate of 0.5 points, just behind Supernatural. The series is also broadcast on the Netflix platform, in original version and in French version.
Riverdale is the eighth CW series to get a renewal this season, joining Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural, Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
The series has found its audience with its mysterious stories but also its purely teenage side, something increasingly rare on television in recent years. Riverdale is in line with series like Dawson's Creek or Newport Beach. Refreshing and sufficiently innovative, the small band of friends should still make the heyday of the channel next year, especially since we are promised the revelation of the murderer of Jason Blossom in the last episode of the first season, which will be broadcast next May. And it is in this same episode that we will meet the main antagonist of the future season!
A beautiful program for viewers and fans of Riverdale, which continues every Thursday night on the CW and on Netflix.
