The fourth season of Darren Star's series Younger, starring Hilary Duff and Sutton Foster, began on June 29. Discover right away what we liked and regretted in this first episode of the season.
What we liked
- Meet our favorite characters: Josh, Maggie, Kelsey, Diana, Charles… (No, not Liza)
- For Liza to FINALLY confess the truth to Kelsey, it was about time!
- Kelsey's reaction to this admission because yes, we were tired of everyone always forgiving Liza in 3 seconds
- The story that looms between Josh and Kelsey, we ship completely these two there !! It's time for Josh to break away from Liza who doesn't deserve it at all!!!
- The humor of this episode, especially during the scenes at work
- The Liza/Charles rapprochement
- JOSHHH! (Yes, we're groupies, but admit that you are too!)
What we didn't like
- Liza… You will understand, we can love the series but hate its main character. Seriously, can we do more head-to-head?
- Lauren's joke about raping her boyfriend. A very bad message to convey.
- The flatness of the episode. Apart from the end, it was still a little soft, even if it was necessary to install the plots
- Liza. Yes, again.
In summary, Younger makes a winning return and gives a new breath to the series by revealing a little more THE secret. New plots (especially in love) take place and we hope for a more in-depth development than we are used to. To be continued, in any case, we are still looking forward to seeing the rest!
