If you too were addicted to Gossip Girl, the name Penn Badgley should speak to you (it may even be that your heart beats a little faster thinking about handsome Dan). The Lifetime channel has just announced the return of the actor to television in its new series entitled You in which he plays the role of a tracker.
The summary of You is not very original: a boy meets a girl, the boy saves the girl from an oncoming subway, the boy becomes dangerously obsessed with the girl and uses social networks to know all aspects of his life. We warned you nothing very original on this side for the new series of the Lifestyle channel.
Adapted from a novel by Caroline Kepnes published in 2005, You features a boy, Joe (Penn Badgley) and a girl, Beck (Elizabeth Lail) whose story we have just told you just above. A first trailer has already been released and can be summed up by the catchphrase "I want you to want me". The rather banal story of the departure seems to take a much darker turn than could be assumed.
This series will be broadcast from September 9 and has other stars in the cast: Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars), Zach Cherry (Crashing) and Luca Padovan. There is even talk of John Stamos who should make an appearance in the series.
