The long-awaited day for Orange is the New Black fans has arrived: season 4 is finally online on Netflix. Check out our review of the first episode of this season which promises to be thrilling!

The episode begins where season 3 left off, that is, with the inmates who fled to the lake next to the prison. Unfortunately for Caputo, newly promoted director, this beginning of the seizure of power is not easy! Prisoners are dipping, 100 new inmates will arrive and he faces an understaffed guard.

Alex and Lolly, accomplices to murder

In all this hubbub, Lolly notices something in the garden greenhouse. Indeed, Alex is on the ground, being strangled by a false guard, who is actually the henchman of his former boss. Lolly takes her courage in both hands, puts the man on the ground and stomps on his throat, causing his death. The two women crudely hide the body for lack of time to bury it, and tell themselves that they will return later.
That night, Alex returns alone to the greenhouse but realizes that the man is not totally dead, so she must reluctantly finish him off in a moving scene. The next day, the two inmates return to the greenhouse and find another prisoner who discovered the body. Fortunately for them, the other is apparently not his first murder and helps them cut up and hide the body in the garden.

This unexpected new friendship looks promising, and we can't wait to see what happens next!

Piper, Jefa from Litchfield

With the arrival of the new prisoners, questions abound, and mainly who runs this prison. Flaca then tells them that Piper is the Jefa, the leader of Litchfield. This role seems to please (and fit) Piper, who until recently was the new kid from the prison who received meals filled with tampons.

But is this promotion likely to put Piper at risk because of inmates who would like to rebel?

Judy King arrives

After being talked about in season 3 because of her celebrity, Judy finally makes her entrance in Litchfield! And his character different from the others already puts us in a good mood. Judy seems to be a cheerful woman but surely does not let herself be stepped on, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for us!

In conclusion, this beginning of the season promises to be very interesting, between Judy King, the new Piper and the secret of Alex and Lolly! And of course, let's not forget the good dose of humor typical of the series that we were entitled to throughout the episode!
