Notorious: the ABC series on the slope of cancellation

The series that US critics describe as the worst series of the 2016-2017 school year, Notorious, has just been the target of a decision by the American channel ABC. Indeed, the one who replaces Scandal pending his return in January seems in very bad shape…

Of the 13 episodes that were to form its first season, you will see only 10 episodes of the series Notorious, with Piper Perabo (Coyote Girls) and Daniel Sunjata (Grey's Anatomy). This is the sentence pronounced by ABC, the channel that broadcasts the series on Thursday nights. It just reduced the original order to 10 episodes, which is a very bad sign for a possible second season next year.

After a weak start at 5.39 million viewers on September 22, the series has seen its audiences collapse since, to reach only 3.89 million viewers when episode 5 was broadcast on October 20.

As a reminder, Notorious follows Julia George (Piper Perabo), an ambitious producer at the head of the number one television newscast, who takes advantage of the notoriety of Jake Gregorian's (Daniel Sunjata) clients, a charismatic lawyer, to increase ratings. Together, these manipulative aces influence public opinion and control the country's headlines, if not control their mutual attraction.
