Another series that gets additional episodes for its first season. FOX orders 5 new episodes of the Lethal Weapon series!
Actors Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans must be delighted! Indeed, the American channel FOX has decided to order 5 additional episodes of its new series Lethal Weapon, which will bring season 1 to 18 episodes.
Lethal Weapon is the serial adaptation of the Lethal Weapon film series (1987-1998): Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans), a veteran cardiac police officer teams up with Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford), a former seal, on the streets of Los Angeles. The second traumatized by the death of his pregnant wife has suicidal tendencies that constantly lead him to push his limits and take foolish risks to put criminals out of harm's way. The duo, although unlikely, are effective but their adventures often end in significant financial damage to the chagrin of their captain, Brooks Avery (Kevin Rahm). Police psychiatrist Dr. Maureen Cahill (Jordana Brewster) follows Riggs to get him to confide in these feelings.

After a start on September 21 at 7.93 million viewers, the series has found its cruising pace, with quality stories, action, humor, which makes it one of the good surprises of the fall. The cumulative audiences in D + 7 between the first broadcast and the replay peak at just over 12 million according to the channel.
FOX President Kevin Reilly said: "The team is doing an extraordinary job on the show, which has proven to be a strong companion for Empire. That's why we're excited to order these additional episodes in Season 1."
To see if this order will allow the series to continue to offer good stories and not to stretch its plots too much, which could in the long run tire viewers.
