Left in abeyance for a few months, part 5 of La Casa de Papel has not yet been officially ordered by Netflix. Its creator Álex Pina, however, hinted that the sequel was coming. In the meantime, the series is still talking about it and this thanks to the city of Perpignan.

A petition addressed to the screenwriters of La Casa de Papel

Indeed, the capital of the Pyrenees-Orientales is actively campaigning for one of the famous robbers to bear his name, just like Le Journal Catalan. After Marseille, played by Croatian actor Luka Peros, the Spanish series could perhaps put another French city forward. In addition, Perpignan relies on Salvador Dalí's attachment to his city, the main argument for launching this petition and trying to convince the screenwriters of La Casa de Papel. Since the beginning of the series, the Spanish painter has been the face of the robbers of the series, all genres and age groups combined. Not only did Dalí paint La Gare de Perpignan, in 1965, fascinated by it, but the city is already planning the costume of the character with his effigy! He would wear a red jumpsuit, a mask with a mustache and golden-yellow eyebrows, in homage to the colors of the Catalan flag. In addition, the city highlights a "spirit of historical resistance", but also its "iron will". Thus, during the Second World War, the maternity not far from the city allowed more than sixty deported or exiled women to give birth. Perpignan would see the robbers singing the Estaca, hymn to Catalan freedom, alongside Bella Ciao, recursing in La Casa de Papel. If you feel like it, you can sign the petition, on a site that puts itself in the colors of the series, like a real showcase for the city. Finally, Perpignan seems to draw up a list of convincing arguments, which could perhaps seduce and give birth to a new character.
