Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) will star in the new series Gunpowder alongside Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings). Discover all the details about this historical mini-series that looks promising!

We told you about it a few months ago, and it's now official: Kit Harington will be part of the Gunpowder adventure!

Written by Ronan Bennett and directed by Jonathan Blakeson, this historical series will be based on real events. In 1605 during the "Gunpowder Conspiracy", a group of Catholics led by Robert Catesby, here played by Kit Harington, planned an attack on King James I of England in order to re-establish a Catholic policy. The authorities, after foiling the attack, found a certain Guy Fawkes ally of Robert Catesby, a man now famous for his "face". Indeed, the author of the comics V for Vendetta , Alan Moore was inspired by it for the mask of V, now taken over by Anonymous.
It is therefore on this protagonist and his team that the series will be based. However, the name of the actor who will play Guy Fawkes has not yet been communicated.

The mini-series will consist of only 3 episodes, lasting 60 minutes. Thus, our dear Jon Snow will give the answer to Liv Tyler (The Leftlovers) playing Robert Catesby's cousin, and Mark Gatiss (Sherlock) also part of the cast will play the king's right-hand man. BBC filming is expected to begin at the end of the month.
