Homeland: Showtime reveals the launch date of season 6

The American channel Showtime revealed during the Television Critics Association summer press tour the return date of its political drama Homeland. 

While the political series Homeland has just been officially renewed for a seventh and eighth season by Showtime, the American network also took the opportunity to unveil the launch date of the sixth season. Officially, the series will return to American screens on January 15 and not in the fall as many fans suggested. 

As announced by Alex Gansa, the showrunner of the series a few weeks ago, the sixth season of Homeland would take place in the US presidential election, which will result in the election of a woman to the White House, a first in the history of the United States.

In addition to revealing the return date of Homeland, Showtime has also pronounced on the future of the series Billions, carried among others by Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis who will return on February 19 for its second season.
